New lawn care

Growing newly planted grass

Keep the top soil consistently moist while seed germinates, then water more deeply after the first mowing. Wait until new grass reaches mowing height, use a sharp blade, and remove no more than one-third of its height at once.

New sod also needs consistent moisture while roots establish. Seeding and lawn care are homeowner maintenance and are not covered by the builder warranty.
